SchoolHouse matches you with amazing families and helps you set up a school that is yours.

Austin's Story

“SchoolHouse made it incredibly easy to get started with a microschool! They handled finding the families, payment processing, and the legal and regulatory aspects. All I had to do was show up and teach."

Not a homeschool, a real school that's yours

SchoolHouse brings to life all of the promises of teaching and helps you set up a school that is yours. At SchoolHouse, you'll be able to teach a small group of students, in-person, in a contained environment, your health and your students health is a priority. Small groups also allow you to differentiate your instruction and really personalize your class to fit the individual needs of each student. And while you'll be leading your learning pod on your own, you can feel confident knowing that you have the support of the SchoolHouse team behind you.

Amazing Families

We believe that matching the teacher with the right families is the most important part of every microschool. Which is why we are selective in who we introduce you to.

The parent matching process typically looks like this:

  • Meet around 3-5 parent leaders who speak for the parent group
  • Work with SchoolHouse to put the curriculum together
  • Start school!

Once approved, teachers and families go through a matching process that ensures the teacher and family will be a good fit. This process involves video conferences and background checks.

Convenient Locations

The best thing about microschools are their location... Classes can be held at a parent's home, in a backyard, or in a storefront property. We'll handle all of the logistics. You get to teach in-person while staying safe with a small group of students following CDC guidelines.

Curriculum

At SchoolHouse we trust you to know the curriculum that will work best for your pod, and our team will work with you to find whatever resources are necessary to successfully teach.

We provide support for every type of curriculum and certified learning method. We can help you match with the students current school curriculum or we can find an alternative curriculum and teach to that (a Montessori approach, project-based learning, or STEM).

Marianne's Story

“At first I was a bit reticent to start teaching a learning pod, but after the first day I knew there was no going back. I teach 6 students, make more income than I used to and have control of my class. SchoolHouse helped build out a custom schedule, found the families and handles all the administrative work that I don't want to do.”
